Angi lists a national 2026 valve repair or replacement range of $75–$300. Multiple valves, excavation, manifold work and access may change a local quote. This is not Sprinkler Master pricing.

What a valve replacement involves
Ask whether the issue is the coil, diaphragm, wiring, fitting or entire valve body. A zone that never starts and a zone that never closes need different tests; replacing a valve without confirming the cause can leave the real fault unresolved.
Inspection and repair steps
- Test controller output and valve response.
- Inspect the solenoid, diaphragm, housing and manifold.
- Quote the appropriate repair or replacement, complete approved work and retest zones.

Watering and maintenance resources
UC ANR recommends checking automatic valves and fixing leaks at connections. A Rancho Water evaluation may help eligible customers identify efficiency issues, but it is separate from our repair visit.
Cost and next step
The repair cost depends on the fault, replacement parts, access and any digging or restoration needed. Ask for the proposed scope and estimate before work begins. Our sprinkler repair cost guide explains the main factors.
